I am a hardworking, organised and motivated Councillor with a passion for politics, human rights and equality. I have an outgoing and friendly personality; I enjoy meeting new people and making a real difference in people’s lives. As an elected Councillor for the Warley ward in Sandwell, I am currently representing more than two thousand people at a local level, and I am currently working on a daily basis to address their needs, complaints and problems.

- I am currently Sandwell’s Youngest Elected Politician
- Volunteered as a local Youth Mentor in the community
- Competed in a debating competition and won

Main duties performed:
- Representing a Ward boundary of around two thousand constituents
- Working with others to improve the safety and quality of life of residents
- Liaising with local officers to tackle issues affecting the community, such as housing, social services, schools, the environment and transport
- Paying attention to the needs of vulnerable members of our community
- Dealing with residents, companies and other partners of the Council
- Dealing with resident casework, public enquiries and solving their problems
- Writing letters to support constituents’ needs
- Visiting residents on request and acting upon their requests and demands
- Chairing focus group meetings between Council representatives and the public
- Facilitating meetings between officials and residents
- Supporting and attending local events and holding monthly surgeries for residents
- Voting on key political decisions
- Assisting with applications for grants and other forms of funding and investment
- Producing leaflets, updating social media accounts and sending emails

Qualifications

Hobbies and interests
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing and spending time with my family. I also volunteer regularly as a youth mentor, working with children in local schools.
