Main duties performed:
- Operating a range of high-resolution camcorders and handheld action cameras for various television and film productions
- Analysing scripts to prepare appropriate shots and provide guidance to directors on how to film each scene effectively
- Transporting, assembling and disassembling camera equipment across the country, before and after each day’s shoot
- Rigging and de-rigging camera systems and patches
- Using initiative and experimenting to overcome technical problems and create the right conditions for each shot
- Following artistic instruction from directors and acting upon any feedback given
- Liaising with lighting, sound and stage professionals to set up and rehearse complex shoots
